DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet with patient prior to surgery to review scheduling, any required preoperative testing, and answer questions
- Formally schedule all surgeries and in-office procedures with providers and corresponding operating rooms
- Complete and fax hospital booking sheets to appropriate hospital to schedule OR time.
- Schedule patient follow-up appointments
- Transfer all preoperative testing results prior to surgery
- Ensure providers are equipped with all required documentation
- Work with nurses to facilitate postoperative care
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of experience in a medical environment
- Proficient computer skills including ability to master the office’s practice management software
- Consistent professional conduct, meticulous attention to detail, and critical thinking skills and a positive attitude are essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required as well as interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $19.00 to $22.50. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, education, experience, and qualifications.
