What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Scheduler position at Community Care Physicians?
General Surgery is looking for a full-time Surgical Scheduler to join their team! The hours are: Monday-Friday 8:30am -5:00pm.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and maintains surgical schedule for procedures and work with the providers to ensure proper time allocations and smooth transitions of work flow.
- Answers telephone; schedule appointments, screens calls, takes messages and provides information in accordance with established policies.
- Schedules patients for surgical procedures and obtains all necessary information upon arrival of patient.
- Responsible for accurately completing Physician Referrals.
- Cross-trained in check in and check out duties.
- Complete prior authorizations and verify patient insurance.

Compensation: $18.50 - $24 per hour

Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent with additional education desirable.
- Surgical scheduling experience highly desired.
- Previous clerical experience in a medical practice preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures preferred.
- Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, family members, physicians, providers, managers, co-workers and external customers.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
