CERTIFIED RECOVERY SUPPORT SPECIALIST (CRSS) - Albany Care, Evanston, IL
Albany Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Evanston, IL, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS). M-F, 8:30am-5pm.
$20 per hour, plus benefits.

The Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) is a credential for those who provide mental health or co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse recovery support to others. A person with the CRSS credential uses unique insights gained through personal recovery experience.
Responsibilities of the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS):
- Provide peer-oriented individual and group counseling
- May assist with recreational and leisure activities
- Responsible for fostering a safe, motivating and supportive environment
- Encourage and model the philosophy of recovery and empowerment through CRSS principals

Requirements
of the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS):
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- CRSS (Certified Recovery Support Specialist) credential
- Experience working with persons with psycho-social rehabilitation services, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, and/or development disorders
- Tolerance and compassion for adults with psychiatric disorders
