Temporary Front Desk Medical Receptionist

Alavie Interventional Pain Management is a growing, patient-centered medical practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth
• Check patients in and out efficiently, verifying insurance and demographic information
• Manage phone calls, messages, and scheduling
• Handle medical records, requests, and documentation accurately
• Prepare and send referrals to outside providers
• Complete prior authorizations for procedures, medications, and imaging
• Collect co-pays and outstanding balances, and post payments correctly
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality
• Assist with other front office and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting required
• Strong background in customer service and patient interaction
• Experience with referrals, prior authorizations, and medical records management
• Knowledge of insurance verification and payment collection
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with EMR systems
• Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, reliable, and compassionate demeanor

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (no weekends)
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays 8am-5pm
• Wednesdays 7:30am/8am- 5pm
• Fridays 7/7:30am- 2pm
