Alavie Interventional Pain Management is a growing, patient-centered medical practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth
- Check patients in and out efficiently, verifying insurance and demographic information
- Manage phone calls, messages, and scheduling
- Handle medical records, requests, and documentation accurately
- Prepare and send referrals to outside providers
- Complete prior authorizations for procedures, medications, and imaging
- Collect co-pays and outstanding balances, and post payments correctly
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality
- Assist with other front office and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting required
- Strong background in customer service and patient interaction
- Experience with referrals, prior authorizations, and medical records management
- Knowledge of insurance verification and payment collection
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, reliable, and compassionate demeanor
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday (no weekends)
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays 8am-5pm
- Wednesdays 7:30am/8am- 5pm
- Fridays 7/7:30am- 2pm
