The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium seeks an internal medicine physician to join our growing team of hospitalists at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. As a Level II Trauma center, ANMC serves as the tertiary referral center for Alaska Native and American Indian people from across the entire state and is largest Tribal hospital in the U.S. Our unique patient population, cohesive team and breathtaking location make this a one-of-a-kind practice opportunity!
Our team provides 24/7 coverage for adult inpatients; 12-hour shifts with hybrid and swing shift physicians focusing on admissions and consults; exposure to a wide variety of complex pathologies with the opportunity to perform procedures; average day shift workload of 15 patients; closed ICU managed by critical care/pulmonary intensivists.
Work Schedule : 7 days on/7 days off; 24 weeks/168 shifts per year; rotation to night shift and swing shift every 2 to 3 months.
Qualifications : Graduate of an ACGME/AOA accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program; BC/BE in Internal Medicine.
