Events and Development Coordinator
Alaska Council of School Administrators (ACSA)
Compensation: $57,000-$70,000 DOE
ACSA is a statewide, non-profit member organization comprised of school and district administrators. The Events and Development Coordinator is a hybrid role which focuses on event coordination, sponsor development, membership management and retention. This position works onsite from the Juneau office.
Under the supervision of the Executive Director the ideal candidate must be able to work independently and have the ability multitask. The position is required to travel within the state several times per year, be skilled in verbal and written communication, and proficient with various computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams), Zoom and Adobe. Candidates must have at least two years’ experience working in an office environment. Experience with event planning/coordination preferred.
Primary responsibilities include 3 main areas:
EVENTS
● Coordinates all aspects of multiple events, such as conferences, annual association meetings, board meetings and workshops, arranges board and staff travel.
● Builds and maintains registration forms for each conference using Cvent event registration software.
● Coordinates all aspects of Champions for Children sponsorships, including collection of funds and advertising of sponsors.
● Provides administrative support for the Annual Principals’ Conference, coordinates Exhibitor/Sponsor registration and Exhibitor Hall set-up. Acts as the on-site liaison for exhibitors.
SPONSORSHIP
● Cultivates and maintain relationships with sponsors/partners by securing financial support.
MEMBERSHIP
● Recruits, retains, and engages members. Coordinates annual membership drives and provides support for multiple affiliation ACSA members, as well as maintaining contacts with national membership organizations. Collaborates with elementary and secondary principal organization leads.
This position provides a variety of high-level administrative services requiring independence, judgment, and initiative in determining the organization’s needs as directed by the ACSA Executive Director.
