What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Dept Clerk/Office position at Alaska Aircraft Sales?
Overview
Busy aircraft maintenance facility hiring for detail-oriented person for parts department to join our team. The successful candidate will be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and will provide excellent customer service for our customers and vendors.
Duties include:
- Creating purchase orders
- Reviewing and comparing price information
- Ordering, receiving and shipping parts
- Managing stockroom and reconciling inventory.
- Answering phone calls
- Maintaining filing systems
- Notifying vendors of discrepancies and tracking warranties
- Assisting the accounting supervisor with billing processes.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Willingness to learn.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
- Proficient in computer skills. We use a specialty database program that will be taught. Basic knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft office products including Excel a plus.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- Prior parts department experience or aviation experience helpful but not required. We offer full benefits including paid time off, health insurance, 401K with company match, and paid holidays.
Must be able to pass FAA mandated drug test and background screening.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
