Job Summary
The Entry Level Sprinkler Helper will assist in the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings. This position includes hands-on training, working side-by-side with experienced Sprinkler Fitters to learn a rewarding skilled trade in fire protection.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Arrive to job sites prepared and on time with a strong work ethic
- Assist with installing, repairing, and testing fire sprinkler piping and components
- Support field technicians by organizing tools, materials, and equipment
- Learn to read drawings, blueprints, and product manuals
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies while on the job
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with completing jobsite documentation as required
- Participate in company-provided training and certifications
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong desire to learn a skilled trade—no experience required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pass required background check and drug screenings
- Positive attitude, integrity, and commitment to reliability
- Basic math, communication, and organizational skills
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to work with hand and power tools
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand, bend, lift, and climb for extended periods
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and at various heights
- Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
