Responsibilities
- Mow lawns and trim grass using mowers, trimmers, and other power tools to maintain a neat and healthy appearance
- Perform landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, edging, and weed control to ensure thriving gardens and landscapes
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners for planting, soil preparation, and general cleanup
- Use machinery like excavators or skid steers for hardscape installation or site preparation when required
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal to promote safety and growth
- Support snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible when applicable
Experience
- Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or horticulture is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools and landscaping equipment is advantageous
- Basic understanding of landscape maintenance practices including gardening, tree care, and hardscape installation
- Ability to operate construction or excavation machinery such as excavators is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills related to lawn care and outdoor maintenance
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment or materials as needed
