Assistant Controller (Multi-facility organization)

Alamo Health Management is the business office of a multi-facility adult residential behavioral health organization committed to providing transitional housing and resident centered care services for clients suffering from mental health, addiction, and/or dual diagnosis. The ideal candidate wants to help break the cycle of clients moving from crisis centers to housing instability and back to crisis centers.

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Controller who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to: maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, maintaining accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficient with QuickBooks online, Oracle NetSuite and MS Office product
• Proven experience with accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and account reconciliation and payroll
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare complete financial statements
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Degree in Accounting or related field

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting principles
• Support the controller and the Senior Management Team
• Oversee the recording and reconciliation of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for multiple entities.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the budgeting process by providing financial data and analysis
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist with special projects.
• Assist in managing regulatory compliance and reporting, including tax filings and audits.
• Other duties as assigned by the Senior Management Team

Experience:

• 5-7 years Accounting Management
• Leadership: 5 years (Required)
• QuickBooks: 5 years (Required)
• Accounts payable: 5 years (Required)Accounts receivable: 5 years (Required)
• Payroll: 5 years (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
