Role Description The Commercial Glazier role is a full-time, on-site position based in Austin, TX. This role involves measuring, fabricating and installing glass systems for commercial storefronts, and other architectural applications. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting plans, preparing materials, setting glass in frames, sealing and securing installations, and performing repairs as needed. The Commercial Glazier collaborates team members to complete projects safely, on schedule, and to specification. The role also involves interacting with customers in a professional manner, maintaining tools and equipment, and following all safety standards and company pr
ocedures.Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in commercial window and glazing work, including installation, repair, and finishing.
- Experience working with commercial doors and related hardware, ensuring accurate fitting and secure installation.
- Strong customer service abilities, with clear communication and professional on-site conduct.
- Ability to read blueprints and measurements, use hand and power tools safely, and work at heights when required.
- Prior experience as a glazier or in a related construction trade preferred; apprenticeship or vocational training is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety, reliability in attendance, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites in the Austin, TX area.
