Alamo Biologics, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, is a distributor of high-quality tissue allografts to physicians, dentists, hospitals, surgical clinics, and tissue banks.
We are seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Assistant for our growing company. This position reports to the Director of Quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience: Must have working knowledge of PC software applications using Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software programs as required.
Salary: $17.00 per hour

- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Computer skills required.
Abilities:

- Must be a self-starter and self-directed worker.
- Must maintain a good working rapport with all departments and able to keep information confidential.
- Must be neat in appearance and well groomed.
Essential Functions:
- Provides administrative support to the Quality department.
- Responsible for filing, pulling, and compiling documentation for the Quality department.
- Responsible for company record retention maintenance.
- Assists in the maintenance of Quality Assurance documentation and databases.
- Assists in maintaining facility and equipment maintenance documents and requirements.
- Assists in employee training file maintenance.
- Assists in editing and preparing SOPs and forms for routing in the QMS.
- Reads and complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and forms.
- Maintains confidentiality of records.
- Answers department telephone, directs calls, and takes messages.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Will sit, stand, walk and bend during working hours. Required to lift and carry relatively light materials. Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in a well-lighted, air conditioned and heated office. May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards and other conditions common to an office environment. May be required to work weekends.
