The Quality Assurance Assistant Manager (QAAM) is a key position of the newly established local corporation, AW Texas, Inc. in San Antonio Texas, U.S.A. This position expected to lead the new organization to a successful startup of local production of key automotive components which will be supplied to a major automaker in the U.S.A.
QAAM is responsible to establish AWTX Quality management system, encourage continuous improvement and resolve quality issues across projects/departments.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate quality assurance methods of suppliers and in-house process during preparation for production.
- Arrange inspection equipment and IT system for inspection and quality investigation.
- Provide technical direction with suppliers and departments for quality assessment and validate the result.
- Communicate with customer to understand and analyze customer requirements regarding quality assurance activities.
- Communicate with customer regarding quality information and corrective actions.
- Manage suppliers and internal quality corrective actions.
- Plan and implement quality measures to meet quality objectives.
- Arrange and maintain working environment by complying with ISO14001, IATF16949, safety guidelines, procedures and regulations.
- Develop and conduct training of QA personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years management experience in manufacturing and quality control.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a company with over 100 employees
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing industry, IATF 16949.
- Leadership track record and good understanding of how to lead people.
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- Excellent computer skills working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point

- Experience in a cross-cultural working environment.
- Experience in a leadership position during a manufacturing plant start-up
