What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Maintenance Technician position at Alamite Hotel?
POSITION PROFILE:
Responsible for performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks throughout the hotel including plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, lighting, and equipment, to ensure the proper functioning and appearance of the property. Respond to urgent repair requests while also conducting routine preventative maintenance checks and inspections across the hotel grounds. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Regularly inspect and maintain all hotel systems and equipment, including heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and kitchen appliances to prevent breakdowns and extend their lifespan.
- Promptly respond to guest and staff maintenance requests, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in a timely manner.
- Perform basic repairs on items like doors, windows, floors, ceilings, lighting fixtures, and furniture.
- Conduct regular safety checks
- Perform minor carpentry and plumbing tasks like fixing leaks, replacing faucets, and repairing minor damage.
- Maintain cleanliness of maintenance areas and equipment
- Collaborate with housekeeping, front desk, and other departments to address maintenance needs and minimize disruptions to guests
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school education or equivalent experience
Experience: One to two years of employment in a related position
Skills and Abilities: Requires working knowledge of the hotel’s services, policies and operations. Working knowledge is generally learned on the job and training will be provided.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
