SCHOOL BASED SERVICES
AFS School Based Services Division provides a multitude of health and wellness services to youth on school campuses in the Alameda Unified School District and across Alameda County. Services include individual and group counseling, case management, family engagement, as well as health education, and youth development.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision, as well as oversight to the staff and interns providing behavioral health services. The Clinical supervisor is also responsible for assisting in the leadership of the School Based Services Division.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Support and supervise clinical staff and interns by providing weekly individual and group clinical supervision.
2. Ensure all services and documentation are in compliance with legal and professional laws.
3. Adhere to requirements for supervisors as stipulated by the Board of Behavioral Sciences rules and regulations.
4. Assist the Director in the planning, managing, and administrative supervision of the division.
5. Support in the data collection, management, and reporting in compliance with contracts and evaluation.
6. Coordinate and facilitate presentations and trainings to program staff, interns, school personnel, and community.
7. Assist with planning, scheduling, and facilitation of staff meetings.
8. Provide crisis intervention and on call coverage.
9. Other duties as assigned by the Director.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC with a current, active license in the State of California.
2. Minimum 1 year experience providing or supervising behavioral health services in a school-based setting.
3. Minimum 1 year experience managing, coordinating, or supervising staff.
4. Experience with and understanding of trauma related work and restorative practices.
5. Experience working with ethnically and socio-economically diverse youth and families.
6. Experience with Medi-Cal documentation (preferred).
7. Ability to drive with valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to use of an automobile as needed.
8. Multi-language capacity desired.
PHYSICAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Must be able to sit for at least 75% of the time and stand for 25%.
2. Must be able to lift 30 pounds (books, files, etc.).
3. Must possess valid California driver’s license & have reliable transportation.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. The School Based Services division requires a background check and clearance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice (DOJ) background prior to employment.
2. A current TB Test Results is required prior to employment.
