What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian - CAT3 position at Alakaina Family of Companies?
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a qualified Senior Custodian CAT3 to support our contract with Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) in Kekaha, Hawai'i. This is a part time job opportunity.
Under the general direction of the Supervisor or Lead-person, performs general custodial functions cleaning, shampooing, waxing floors and cleaning office areas, restrooms and work areas, including garbage collection and disposal.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
- Able to operate custodial equipment vacuum, shampooer and floor stripper.
- Able to perform high cleaning and waxing of floors.
- Clean and stock restrooms and supply closets.
- Daily sanitization of restrooms and common areas.
- Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
- Time management; ability to meet work goals in a timely manner.
- Attention to detail.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Environment:
Working in indoor and outdoor environment.
Physical Elements:
- Must be able to lift and pull over 25-50 lbs
- Walking, bending, or standing for long periods of time
- Crawling
- Kneeling or cramped
- Work requiring repeated stooping
- Work requiring repeated or repeated or frequent stair climbing
- Customer contact
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- High School or equivalent
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and able to drive automatic and standard vehicles.
- Must have ability to obtain appropriate State and Government licenses.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Two (2) years’ experience in a direct or related field to the position.
- Must demonstrate physical and mental capability to perform work.
- Must be able to work on weekends.
- Must be able to use the tools of the trade to include, floor finishers, shampoo machine and various types of vacuums.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
