Custodian - CAT3

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a qualified Senior Custodian CAT3 to support our contract with Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) in Kekaha, Hawai'i. This is a part time job opportunity.

Under the general direction of the Supervisor or Lead-person, performs general custodial functions cleaning, shampooing, waxing floors and cleaning office areas, restrooms and work areas, including garbage collection and disposal.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
• Able to operate custodial equipment vacuum, shampooer and floor stripper.
• Able to perform high cleaning and waxing of floors.
• Clean and stock restrooms and supply closets.
• Daily sanitization of restrooms and common areas.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
• Time management; ability to meet work goals in a timely manner.
• Attention to detail.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Environment:

Working in indoor and outdoor environment.

Physical Elements:

• Must be able to lift and pull over 25-50 lbs
• Walking, bending, or standing for long periods of time
• Crawling
• Kneeling or cramped
• Work requiring repeated stooping
• Work requiring repeated or repeated or frequent stair climbing
• Customer contact

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• High School or equivalent
• Must have a valid Driver's License and able to drive automatic and standard vehicles.
• Must have ability to obtain appropriate State and Government licenses.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Two (2) years' experience in a direct or related field to the position.
• Must demonstrate physical and mental capability to perform work.
• Must be able to work on weekends.
• Must be able to use the tools of the trade to include, floor finishers, shampoo machine and various types of vacuums.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
