PolyWorks LLC located in Newburgh, NY is looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager.
The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems within a flexible packaging manufacturing facility. This role leads a team of Quality Control Technicians assigned to all production departments across day and night shifts. The QC Manager ensures product compliance with internal specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations, while serving as the primary owner of customer complaints and corrective action processes.
Quality Management & Compliance
· Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and inspection protocols for flexible packaging operations.
· Ensure compliance with customer specifications, internal standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
· Lead internal audits and support external and customer audits.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and process variation.
Team Leadership & Shift Coverage
· Lead and manage QC Technicians assigned to all departments across day and night shifts.
· Establish consistent quality standards and communication between shifts.
· Train, coach, and evaluate QC staff performance.
· Ensure adequate quality coverage for all manufacturing operations.
In-Process & Finished Goods Quality
· Oversee in-process inspections and finished goods testing.
· Manage nonconforming material, including holds, rework, and scrap decisions.
· Partner with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve quality issues at the source.
Customer Complaints & Corrective Actions
· Own and lead the customer complaint process from receipt through closure.
· Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
· Prepare timely, professional customer responses and written reports.
· Track complaint trends and implement preventive improvements.
Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain accurate quality records and inspection documentation.
· Analyze quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Present quality performance reports to plant leadership.
Qualifications.
· Minimum 5 years of quality experience in manufacturing.
· 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
· Strong knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, and customer complaint handling.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
Working Conditions
· Manufacturing plant environment with regular presence on the production floor.
· Availability to support quality issues across day and night shifts as needed.
· Occasional travel for customer meetings or audits may be required.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
