Duties and Responsibilities:
Bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, communications, student affairs, or a related field, 1 year of experience in student recruitment, admissions, tour coordination, or a related area. excellent public speaking and interpersonal communication skills, strong organizational and event planning abilities with attention to detail, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Slate and Peoplesoft CRM systems for data tracking and engagement, and available to travel and work evening and weekends as needed. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and conduct individual and group campus tours for prospective students, families, and school groups.
- Train and supervise student ambassadors (Student Orientation Services) or tour guides to ensure high quality, engaging campus experiences.
- Develop and update tour scripts and materials to highlight ASU’s academic programs, student life, and unique opportunities.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and student organizations to incorporate engaging elements into campus tours. High School & External Recruitment Tours
- Coordinate high school visits and group tours to recruit prospective students.
- Maintain relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and educational partners to increase engagement. Alabama State University Buzz Tour Management
- Plan and implement the Buzz Tour, a strategic recruitment initiative designed to bring ASU directly to schools and communities.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop a schedule, marketing materials, and event logistics for the Buzz Tour.
- Coordinate transportation, staff participation, and promotional materials for the Buzz Tour.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the Buzz Tour and recommend improvements for future outreach. Student Recruitment & Engagement
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students and their families throughout the recruitment process.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, scheduling visits, and guiding students through the admissions process.
- Track and report recruitment and engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of campus tours and outreach efforts.
- Assist with additional recruitment initiatives, such as on-campus open houses, admitted student days, and special events.
- Assist with coordinating unit campus events (Buzz Tours, Connection Day, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
