JOB TITLE: Secretary/Bookkeeper
REPORTS TO: Administrative Staff
EVALUATION: Cullman City Schools' Support Personnel Evaluation Plan
DAYS/HOURS: 208 Days / 7.5 hours
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
- General Secretarial/Bookkeeping knowledge
Performance Responsibilities:
- Enters budgets into the computer.
- Issues and enters purchase order into the computer.
- Verifies materials, supplies and equipment received.
- Has invoices approved and then enter them into the computer for payment.
- Tracks funds that are budgeted (Financials and ES-2's).
- Requests funds as expenses occur.
- Collects and tracks information for funding (Federal and Minimum Program).
- Prepares for in-house audits.
- Reconciles bank statements.
- Maintains and submits records, reports, and data entry.
- Communicates with community groups, parents/guardians, co-workers, and teachers as needed.
- Adheres to administrative procedures, local board policy, and state and federal rules and regulations.
- Engages in personal and professional growth and demonstrate professional ethics and leadership.
- Ensures confidentiality of all records under guardianship of position
- Maintains proper certification by attending workshops and professional development courses
- Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and ethics, working cooperatively with the Board, the Superintendent, administrators, certificated and non-certificated personnel, parents, and students
- Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication
- Attends all meetings as required by the Superintendent
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
