POSITION TITLE: Teacher - Itinerant EL
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum B.S. Degree
- Certification in at least one of the following: English As A Second Language, Elementary Education, Language Arts, or Foreign Language
- Experience working with ELL students preferred
REPORTS TO:
- Principal or Principal's designee and Supervisor
SUPERVISES:
- Assigned Students (Any grade level may be assigned to Itinerant Teachers) based on the number of registered ELL students and their needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Itinerant ELL teacher's job assignment is system-wide and may change at any time during the school year as dictated by the number, grade level and needs of the students.
- Establish objectives and plans ELL program for students in grades K-12.
- Create I-ELP based on student data and needs.
- Deliver the planned ELL program for students in grades K-12.
- Implement activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives.
- Evaluate the ELL education program and/or student progress.
- Maintain and submit assigned records and reports.
- Adhere to school rules, administrative procedures, local board policies, state and federal rules and regulations.
- Shall perform any other job related activities as assigned by the principal or designee and supervisors.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records.
- Assist in providing professional development to teachers regarding ELs and EL instruction.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Salary and contract days to be in accordance with the current applicable salary schedule . School placement and grade levels (K-12) may change at any time during the school term and or before school starts. (Based on the number, grade level and needs of registered ELL students and needs).
EVALUATION:
- Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
