Job Title: CNP Worker 7 hours
Qualifications:
1) High school diploma or GED.
2) Served as a child nutrition program substitute or have considerable experience in food service operation and management.
3) Knowledge of safety, sanitation, food preparation methods, and equipment used in the quantity preparation of foods.
4) Knowledge of proper food storage practices.
5) Ability to cooperate with co-workers, teachers, supervisors, and officials and deal effectively with children.
6) Ability to prepare appetizing foods following directions.
7) Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
8) Skill in the use and care of kitchen equipment and utensils.
9) Appropriate training certificates (ServSafe) and/or required health certificates.
10) Any alternatives as the City of Leeds Board of Education deems appropriate.
Reports To: Principal and CNP Supervisor
Goal: To perform any assigned duty related to the nutritious preparation of foods, service, or cleaning in the delivery of meals to students.
Performance Duties:
- Prepares and processes vegetables for cooking.
- Prepares fruits and/or desserts including pies, cakes, cookies, and muffins.
- Prepares meats, sauces, sandwiches, baked rolls, biscuits, buns, and cornbread.
- Assists in setting up steam table and serving food.
- Supplies food to steam table during meals.
- Assists in handling and storing food and commodities.
- Assists in taking inventory.
- Performs any tasks necessary in the cleanup of kitchen and dining area, such as washing dishes and cleaning kitchenware, equipment, fixtures, tables, floors, walls and windows.
- Operates steam cooker, stack oven, range, food grinder, slicer, mixer, potato peeler, dishwashing machine; scales and measuring devices.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the manager- written or oral.
- Assumes responsibility for acting as a representative of the City of Leeds Board of Education in the solution of problems.
- Assumes responsibility to perform any work which is assigned by the Superintendent of Schools and/or the superintendent's representative, including the inmediate Supervisor.
Salary: To be established by the City of Leeds Board of Education.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the City of Leeds Board of Education's policy on assessments and evaluations.
