Description
The Mortgage Loan Processor will process mortgage loan applications to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of processing those requests.
Responsibilities
- Requests, gathers, and verifies documentation from members based on an initial assessment of application.
- Evaluates and corrects information as necessary to ensure accuracy of documentation as an application is prepared for underwriting.
- Serves as point of contact between members, loan officer, realtors, and underwriters.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Position minimally requires at least one year of relevant work experience and a high school diploma or GED; preference will be given to candidates who have proven success working in a mortgage processing role.
- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills are required.
- Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
- One to three years lending experience
- 10-key calculator and keyboard skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate courtesy, tact, and diplomacy
- Strong attention to detail
- Efficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to handle pressure while paying excellent attention to detail, and must possess the ability to work effectively in a TEAM atmosphere.
