About the Opportunity
Are you an international student or recent graduate looking to gain practical, professional experience in the United States? The ALIEEP J-1 OJT (On-the-Job Training) Program provides international participants with a structured opportunity to develop professional skills, gain hands-on experience in their field, and experience American workplace culture. Training may take place at ALIEEP headquarters in Montgomery, Alabama, or with an appropriate U.S. host company, depending on your field of study, skills, training objectives, and available opportunities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate:
- Currently lives outside the United States.
- Is enrolled in and completing a degree at an accredited institution.
- Is a junior, senior, or graduate student who has completed at least two years of academic study.
- Meets the applicable J-1 eligibility requirements, including the required timing between completion of studies and program start.
- Is motivated to participate in a structured and guided work-based training program.
- Is a proactive self-starter who identifies opportunities, solves problems, and takes initiative.
- Has strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Has skills and experience relevant to their desired training field.
For opportunities involving communications, digital media, or creative work, experience with WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, video production, writing, or social media may be beneficial.
