What are the responsibilities and job description for the PASTOR position at Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions?
Jacksons Gap Baptist Church, (near Lake Martin),is looking for a full time or bi-vocational pastor. Candidates for the position must be an ordained, licensed minister, and agree with the SBC and Message 2000. Candidates must also possess the biblical qualifications stated in 1Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1. Candidates have the option to live within the pastorium among the community.
The Church is seeking a Pastor to manage the affairs of the church with the following responsibilities and duties.
Planning, decision-making, delegating, and conflict resolution.
Conduct Worship services, sermons, funerals, weddings, and other observances in accordance with church by-laws
Leading the congregation to accomplish the church’s vision and growth.
Encouraging, nurturing, supporting and reconciling of church members.
Providing counseling and crisis ministry.
Leading the congregation in observance of church ordinances.
Preaching the Gospel dynamically and with clarity so lost and saved alike will hear it, understand it, and respond to it.
The Church recently reestablished its streaming services and continues the children's/ bus ministry every Wednesday night, Fall festival and Vacation Bible School.
