The pastor of Mt Zion Baptist Church is the spiritual leader of the church. The primary role of the pastor is to lead this body of believers into a functioning New Testament, visionary church.
The candidate should meet the qualifications of a pastor as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 1 Peter 5:1-3. Additionally, the pastor shall possess such training and experience as the church deems appropriate. Candidate must adhere to The BFM 2000.

- Lead the church in the achievement of its mission and purpose
- Proclaim the gospel to believers and unbelievers
- Care for the church members and other persons in the community
- Administer ordinances
- Lead business meetings, committees, mission opportunities
