QC / Analytical Scientist (6-Month Contract)

George Higginson is currently partnered with a leading biologics CDMO who are continuing to expand their Analytical Development and Quality Control capabilities across the US.

As part of this growth, they are looking to bring on a Contract QC / Analytical Scientist to support routine analytical testing activities within a GMP-regulated laboratory environment.

This position will play a key role in supporting biologics development and manufacturing programs through hands-on laboratory testing, data review, and GMP documentation activities. You’ll work closely with Analytical Development and Quality teams to ensure timely delivery of analytical results supporting development, stability, and manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine analytical testing within a GMP laboratory environment
• Execute chromatography-based assays including HPLC and related techniques
• Support release, in-process, and stability testing activities
• Review analytical data and ensure accurate documentation of results
• Maintain laboratory notebooks and GMP-compliant records
• Support laboratory investigations, deviations, and troubleshooting activities
• Collaborate with Analytical Development and Quality teams to meet project timelines
• Ensure all testing activities comply with GMP and data integrity requirements

Requirements:

• 4 years’ experience within Quality Control, Analytical Development, or Analytical Testing in a GMP environment
• Hands-on experience with HPLC and analytical laboratory techniques
• Experience supporting biologics, biopharmaceutical, or pharmaceutical products
• Strong understanding of GMP documentation practices and data integrity principles
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with protein characterization techniques such as CE-SDS, SEC, or icIEF
• Stability testing experience
• Empower software experience
• Previous experience within a CDMO environment
• Exposure to method qualification or transfer activities
