Staff Product Manager, Data Governance & Data Security Platform

Rate Range: Upto $103.5/hr on W2

Responsibilities:

• Own the product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and delivery of the enterprise data governance platform.
• Lead governance capabilities including data catalog, access governance, data quality, lineage, metadata, and classification.
• Partner with InfoSec, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Data Engineering teams to implement governance controls.
• Define and operationalize enterprise data stewardship, ownership models, business glossaries, and quality standards.
• Translate regulatory and business requirements into scalable governance solutions.
• Drive adoption of governance tooling and establish governance best practices across business units.
• Measure governance effectiveness through audit readiness, risk reduction, data trust, and data accessibility metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed governance controls throughout the data lifecycle.
• Author product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and governance policies.
• Evaluate build versus buy decisions for governance and security tooling.

Qualifications:

• 7 years of Product Management or Product Ownership experience.
• Experience leading enterprise data governance, security, compliance, or platform initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of data cataloging, metadata management, access governance, lineage, and data quality.
• Experience with Snowflake and modern data platform ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of data engineering workflows, data warehousing, analytics, and governance integration.
• Experience working with SOX, CCPA, GDPR, content security, or similar compliance requirements.
• Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong SQL skills with ability to analyze data and validate governance controls.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools such as Cursor, Claude, Copilot, or similar platforms.
