Role Description
This full-time Authorization Referral Supervisor role will be mostly remote. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the referral authorization team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in processing medical referrals and authorizations. The supervisor will work closely with team members to provide training, monitor workflow, manage budgets as they relate to referrals, and ensure exceptional customer service is provided. Effective communication and collaboration with healthcare professionals and insurance providers will be essential to ensuring a seamless referral process for patients.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Experience in Budgeting and organizational management to monitor resources related to referral and authorization processes.
- Knowledge of Medicine and healthcare procedures to ensure accurate processing of medical referrals and authorizations.
- Proven ability to provide Training and guidance to team members to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and ability to adapt in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare services, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Supervisory or team management experience in healthcare settings is an advantage.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
