Job Summary
We are seeking a Scientist II, Molecular Biology to join the Molecular Biology R&D team. This role will focus on reagent testing, assay development, and troubleshooting of HLA gene typing products. The Scientist will contribute to research and development efforts while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory bench work focused on daily testing of reagents for product development, improvement, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain and update SOPs, quality records, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Manage reagents, laboratory environment, and equipment to support projects.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and proper equipment use.
- Compile and analyze experimental data, generating reports for research teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve R&D objectives.
- B.S. in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of post-degree experience in an industrial or academic laboratory.
- Hands-on expertise with PCR and Real-time qPCR (SYBR Green/TaqMan).
- Strong knowledge of molecular biology techniques, DNA sequences, and primer design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently as well as in a team.
- Molecular biology, diagnostics, biotechnology, or academic/industrial R&D labs.
- Experience with SSP, SSO platforms, and DNA sequencing highly desirable.
- Familiarity with transplantation diagnostics or related life sciences preferred.
