Akkodis is proud to partner with a global automotive client who is seeking a Technical Program Manager for a contractual opportunity in the Dearborn, MI area.
Pay Range: $60/hr. - $75/hr. (W2) - The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
As a Technical Program Manager you will to lead and coordinate critical cybersecurity tooling and technology initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. This role will support global stakeholder groups and technical teams by driving Agile delivery, managing project execution, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring successful implementation of technology solutions.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in program and project management, Agile methodologies, cybersecurity initiatives, SDLC processes, and stakeholder management, along with hands-on experience utilizing tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Archer, ALM, and X-Ray.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans, scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables for enterprise technology initiatives.
- Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Establish and evolve Agile delivery processes as team structures and business needs change.
- Partner with engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, risk, data analytics, and business teams to deliver technology solutions.
- Build, maintain, and report project metrics using Jira and related tools, including velocity, throughput, capacity, and delivery risk.
- Monitor team health metrics such as cycle time, sprint predictability, defect escape rates, and overall delivery effectiveness.
- Produce executive-level status reports highlighting progress, risks, dependencies, scope changes, and escalations.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and remove impediments impacting delivery.
- Facilitate coordination across development, testing, QA, and UAT teams throughout the SDLC.
- Ensure requirements are clearly defined, documented, and aligned to stakeholder needs.
- Manage product and program roadmaps, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans.
- Support vendor coordination and integration activities as required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Agile, Lean, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 6 years of IT experience.
- 3 years of Program or Project Management experience.
- Expert-level Project Management skills.
- Strong experience managing technical projects and cross-functional teams.
- Experience facilitating Agile delivery and Scrum ceremonies.
- Proficiency with:
- Jira
- Project/Program Management methodologies
- Cybersecurity projects and initiatives
- Application Testing
- SDLC processes
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
