In this strategic leadership role, you will analyze Data Center trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs to develop product and solutions strategies that drive competitive differentiation. You will define system architectures, establish technical requirements, and lead cross-functional teams to create scalable, customer-centric solutions that support global growth initiatives.
Pay rate: $180K-$250K. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
As a key technical leader, you will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop innovative products and solutions that address the evolving needs of hyperscalers, colocation providers, and other Data Center customers. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze emerging trends in Data Center design, construction, and operations.
- Assess customer requirements across hyperscalers, colocation providers, and other Data Center operators while evaluating competitive solutions.
- Understand and evaluate product and system differentiation opportunities across HVAC equipment and cooling solutions throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Translate customer and market needs into a comprehensive products and solutions strategy.
- Define solution architectures and establish system-level technical requirements.
- Decompose system requirements into detailed sub-system technical requirements.
- Lead engineering teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and according to performance expectations.
- Collaborate with customers, product management teams, and global stakeholders to develop scalable and cost-effective solutions.
- Drive alignment across business functions and ensure successful implementation of Data Center initiatives.
- Establish workflow priorities and oversee resource allocation to optimize strategy execution and business outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 15 years of industry experience supporting Data Center customers with cooling system solutions or leading New Product Development programs and engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of system architecture development and technical requirements management.
- Proven leadership experience managing complex engineering projects in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience with industrial HVAC business models, preferably within a Data Center environment.
- Demonstrated success building trusted cross-functional relationships and achieving stakeholder alignment on strategic initiatives.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to drive consensus and execute with conviction.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and experience navigating highly constrained, complex environments.
- Experience balancing technical, business, and customer requirements to develop innovative solutions.
