Akkodis is seeking a Supply Quality Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Muncie IN / Chicago IL(Onsite).
Pay Range: $40/hr. to $49/hr. on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Duration: 12 Months (with possible extension)
Job Description:

Role Description:
- Suppliers Primary Evaluations, PCPA audits, Technical Sign-off, APQP Implementation, Risk assessment and mitigation plan signoff, Design review, Tool Kick off, Tool Development Tracking, Fixtures / gauges / Tools readiness review / execution
- Tool Trails, As T0, T1, T2 and T3
- Parts Fitments Report & Corrective Actions
- Approval For Fit & Functions? ECN /FETE implementations
- Testing & Validations
- Safe Launch
- PSW Sign-off
- Smooth SOP Ramp up
- Final Development Handover
- Supplier Performance Enhancement Excellence in Delivery
- Around 40 % travel to various suppliers' location
Essential Skills:
- Heavy Engineering Product exposure
- Exposure to forging, casting, machining, sheet metal fabrication and standard hardware
- Good understanding about material standards, AWS welding standards and reading the complex engineering prints.
- Good exposure to sheet metal design and manufacturing aspects, GDT, design for manufacturing concepts
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Supplier Quality Engineering related to heavy machinery
