Akkodis is seeking a Strategic Project Manager – Supply Chain for a 6 months contract with a client located in Tempe, AZ
Pay Range: $35/hr. - $38/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior ISC Project Management Specialist to support critical customer requirements through effective project execution, material readiness planning, and cross-functional coordination. This role will serve as a key liaison between Customer Operations, Supply Chain, Materials Management, and Operations teams to ensure customer commitments are met while proactively addressing risks and operational challenges.
The ideal candidate is an experienced project professional with strong planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing or supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring objectives, timelines, and deliverables are successfully achieved.
- Drive build plans and material readiness activities in support of critical customer requirements.
- Partner with Customer Operations team members and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on customer priorities and operational execution.
- Develop and implement recovery plans to address material shortages, production constraints, supply chain disruptions, and other challenges affecting customer commitments.
- Establish project schedules, assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and drive accountability across project teams.
- Analyze risks, identify issues early, and lead mitigation efforts to minimize business impact.
- Prepare and communicate project status updates, metrics, and executive-level reports to leadership.
- Facilitate collaboration between operations, planning, procurement, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance, delivery execution, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining focus on business objectives and customer commitments.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in project management, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing competing priorities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive results in a matrixed environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project tracking tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting customer operations, materials management, production planning, or integrated supply chain functions.
- Knowledge of build planning, material management, and recovery planning processes.
- Experience within a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or highly regulated environment.
- PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
