Akkodis is seeking a Senior Engineer - Water Resources for a direct hire position with a client in Omaha, NE. We are seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering and a minimum of 8 years of experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership or mentoring role. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in stormwater, groundwater, and water resources, with experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, as well as related design or planning work.

Rate Range: $115,000.00/year to $130,000.00/year; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Senior Engineer - Water Resources job responsibilities include:
- Provide high-level project design and review of project documents and design quality for complex projects
- Serve as a technical specialist, applying advanced engineering concepts and developing approaches to solve complexities
- Perform QA/QC and ensure delivery of completed designs meet quality standards and project objectives
- Conduct research in areas of considerable scope and complexity
- Guide and direct staff on design approaches to fulfill project requirements
- Work collaboratively to promote efficiencies and produce high quality work
- Contribute to the development of standards and/or guidelines for engineering activities within the team
- Supervise and review technical assignments of less experienced staff
Qualifications:
- Professional engineering license (PE)
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
- 8 or more years of engineering experience
- 4 years of experience leading or mentoring
- Experience in stormwater and water resources
- Familiar with the following Civil 3D, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Storm CAD, or FLO-2D
- Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, master planning, stream restoration, dam/levee design, construction observation, or stormwater design is a plus
