Akkodis is seeking a Linux Security Engineer for a direct-hire position with a client located in Leesburg, VA (Onsite).
Salary Range: $150K - $170K/Annum Benefits; Salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job description:
- Design, implement, and maintain security monitoring and detection systems
- Develop and tune: Alerting rules, Correlation logic, Anomaly detection models
- Deploy, manage, and optimize Wazuh (or similar EDR platforms)
- Integrate diverse log sources into SIEM platforms and ensure data quality
- Build and enhance log aggregation pipelines (collection, parsing, normalization)
- Perform log analysis and event investigation to validate and improve detections
- Analyze network flow (NetFlow) data and incorporate into detection strategy
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high-quality security telemetry
- Design and build dashboards and visualizations (OpenSearch/Elastic)
- Document: Logging architecture, Detection logic, Platform configurations, Operational procedures
