Akkodis is seeking a Program Manager (ECU) for a Contract job with a client in Irvine, CA. In this role you will lead the development and delivery of vehicle electronic control units (ECUs), partnering across hardware, software, systems, vehicle integration, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to successfully bring advanced automotive products from concept to launch.

Rate Range : $65/hour - $85/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, validation, release, and integration of vehicle ECUs
- Create and manage engineering timelines, deliverables, and program schedules
- Drive custom module development involving PCBAs, electronics, and mechanical assemblies
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate program risks while removing roadblocks to meet critical milestones
- Coordinate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and supply chain teams to support prototype and production builds
- Partner with software, electrical, systems, vehicle integration, and product teams to ensure synchronized program execution
- Lead design reviews and support successful vehicle launches
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and risk registers
- Drive engineering documentation and PLM release activities
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 6 years of program management, product development, or related engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of electronics design, development, validation, and integration processes
- Experience working with PCBAs, ECUs, electronic assemblies, and complex hardware systems
- Background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields
- Experience partnering with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and external vendors
- Proven success managing complex technical programs from development through launch
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously in a highly cross-functional environment
- Willingness to travel as needed to support builds and program milestones
