Akkodis is seeking a Production Support Specialist for a client in Dearborn, MI.
Rate Range: $50.00/hour to $60.00/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
We are seeking an experienced SAP Production Support Specialist to support and enhance a complex SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environment within a fast-paced manufacturing organization. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for production support activities, ensuring operational stability, rapid issue resolution, and effective coordination across multiple business functions including Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Human Resources, Master Data Management, Warehouse Operations, Banking, and Supplier Collaboration.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of SAP expertise, production support experience, project leadership, and stakeholder management skills. This position offers the opportunity to work across critical business processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and provide visibility into system performance through reporting, dashboards, and operational metrics.
This role is 3 days onsite with 2 days work from home.
Please note, we cannot work on C2C basis for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for SAP S/4HANA production support activities and incident management.
- Manage support workflows through tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and SAP Cloud ALM, ensuring timely resolution of issues and adherence to service-level agreements.
- Coordinate escalation and resolution efforts with technical and functional support teams.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reporting to monitor incidents, system performance, trends, and key operational metrics.
- Support finance-related SAP processes including accounting, treasury, banking, month-end close activities, and intercompany transactions.
- Assist with integrations involving master data, purchasing, supplier systems, APIs, middleware platforms, and advance shipping notice (ASN) processes.
- Support SAP Identity and Access Management activities including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access modifications.
- Coordinate training activities, certification tracking, user readiness reporting, and end-user enablement initiatives.
- Drive communication and collaboration across multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of support and improvement initiatives.
Required Experience
- 10 years of experience leading and coordinating complex IT projects and technology initiatives.
- 5 years of hands-on experience supporting SAP ERP environments, including SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations and production environments, including at least one full lifecycle implementation.
- Strong background in L1 production support, incident management, and service delivery operations.
- Hands-on experience using SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), ServiceNow, and Jira for ticket management, workflow coordination, and issue tracking.
- Proven ability to create and maintain dashboards, scorecards, KPI reporting, and operational metrics.
- Experience supporting accounting, treasury, banking, purchasing, supplier integrations, master data management, API integrations, middleware platforms, and ASN processes.
- Knowledge of SAP Identity and Access Management processes, including user access administration and governance.
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- SAP certifications in S/4HANA, Security, GRC, FICO, or related functional areas.
- Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
- Project Management certification such as PMP, Agile, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management practices.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, automotive, battery, or supply chain operations.
- Exposure to cloud-based ERP transformation initiatives and large-scale enterprise system integrations.
- Experience delivering user training, change management, and organizational readiness programs.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field required.
