Akkodis is seeking an Oracle DBA-Junior for a contract role in Baltimore, MD, Chicago, IL, and Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite and Monday and Friday Remote)
Title: Oracle DBA – Junior
Duration: 18 months (Possible to extend)
Location: Baltimore, MD, Chicago, IL, and Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite and Monday and Friday Remote)
Pay Range: $50/hr - $52/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)
Oracle DBA (Tier 2 Operations Support)
We are looking for an Oracle DBA with experience supporting enterprise-scale database environments. This role is part of a Tier 2 Operations team responsible for maintaining high availability and performance across a large Oracle database landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 support for Oracle databases in a 24/7 environment
- Handle escalations from Tier 1 support teams and perform root cause analysis
- Administer and support Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
- Monitor database health, performance, and infrastructure
- Contribute to automation and scripting initiatives
- Participate in an on-call rotation
Required Skills:
- Strong Oracle DBA fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
- Database monitoring and troubleshooting experience
- Basic scripting skills (Shell, Python, or SQL)
Preferred Skills:
- Oracle RAC
- Oracle Exadata
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Oracle Golden Gate
Ideal Profile
- Early-career Oracle DBA with enterprise environment experience
- Experience supporting critical, high-availability systems
- Exposure to large-scale database environments
