Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Engineering for a Contract job with a client in Erie PA 16531. We’re ideally looking for applicants to have a solid background in Automotive/Aerospace.
Pay Range: $75-$85/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Summary
The Propulsion Mechanical Engineer position is responsible for individual contributions and leadership of project objectives within Transportation applications. In this role, you will be responsible for design, testing, application studies, field support, manufacturing support, and innovation on a variety of electrical rotating machine topologie
Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, test, and support mechanical components and systems for new product development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to achieve project objectives.
- Prepare and present technical documentation, design reviews, and engineering reports.
- Provide manufacturing, lab testing, product reliability, and field support.
- Ensure engineering documentation complies with company standards and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Knowledge of electric machine design principles.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of electrical machines and mechanical design.
- Expertise in GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and engineering drawings.
- Experience with design, testing, and analysis tools.
- Proficiency in ANSYS (or equivalent) for stress, CFD, and vibration analysis.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and DFMEA.
- Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and PC skills.
