Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for a 4 months Contract position with a client located in Northford, CT
Pay Range: $21-23/hr on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern here, you will gain hands-on experience in optimizing manufacturing operations and driving operational excellence. You will assist in developing and implementing efficient manufacturing processes, process improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will report directly to our Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager and youâll work out of our Northford, CT location on a In-Person work schedule. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations, contributing to the development of standard work documentation and process improvements that enhance productivity and safety. here, our people leaders play a critical role in developing and supporting our employees to help them perform at their best and drive change across the company. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
â Assist in creating and maintaining standard work documentation for manufacturing processes. â Support process improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste. â Develop reports to track manufacturing performance and identify areas for improvement. â Learn and understand various manufacturing processes to contribute effectively to the team.
YOU MUST HAVE
â Bachelorâs degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering or technology. â Experience or coursework related to manufacturing engineering or process improvement. â Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. â Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with engineering software tools. â Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
WE VALUE
â Advanced coursework or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering. â Internship experience in a manufacturing environment. â Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. â Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks. â Familiarity with Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
