Site Logistics Coordinator (Data Center Operations)
Location: Onsite Data Center
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Employment Type: Contract
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Site Logistics Coordinator to support data center operations by managing inventory, material flow, and logistics activities. This role is critical to ensuring accurate inventory management, efficient material movement, and timely support of operational needs within the data center environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Material Management
- Receive and process incoming deliveries both physically and within inventory management systems.
- Verify and receive devices, equipment, consumables, and other materials.
- Ensure all materials are properly secured, labeled, and stored upon delivery.
- Conduct physical verification of shipments and materials at onsite and warehouse locations.
- Coordinate and expedite shipments as needed to support operational requirements.
Inventory & Storage Operations
- Maintain organized, secure, and accurate storage areas.
- Create and manage project-specific material pallets.
- Pull, prepare, and coordinate shipment of materials to other data centers, warehouses, or project sites.
- Support urgent data center operational requests and escalate critical material issues as appropriate.
Inventory Accuracy & Control
- Perform weekly inventory scans and audits of devices and equipment.
- Conduct cycle counts in accordance with ABC inventory analysis schedules.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies through onsite and warehouse deep dives.
- Execute physical and systematic Return-to-Stock (RTS) processes.
- Complete RTS rack transactions and process unused project materials back into inventory.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure alignment between physical inventory and inventory management systems.
Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, inventory control, warehouse operations, supply chain, or data center support environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Experience using inventory management or warehouse management systems.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials and equipment safely.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with operations and logistics teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting data center operations, IT infrastructure, or technical environments.
- Knowledge of inventory auditing, cycle counting, and material control processes.
- Forklift certification or warehouse equipment experience is a plus.
