Akkodis is seeking an Inspection Quality Manager for a direct hire position with a client in Hollister, CA. This Inspection Quality Manager leads a team of hourly and salaried employees to oversee and continuously improve quality inspection systems in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role involves hands-on leadership across receiving, in-process, final inspection, and NDT functions, while collaborating daily with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and compliant material processing. This position will be working a 4/10s schedule, Monday to Thursday onsite.

Rate Range: $135,000.00/year to $160,000.00/year; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Inspection Quality Manager job responsibilities include:
- Support the development and implementation of robust career development plans for subordinate leadership staff, including skill set development, cross-training, prioritization of development goals and promotional advancement opportunities
- Develop and advocate for critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for various quality inspection functions, providing training on effective metric usage and ensuring their consistent application and refinement for all quality inspection functions, receiving, in-process, final inspection and NDT functions
- Initiate and be the driving force for strategic enhancements in quality inspection processes by incorporating industry-leading automated inspection capabilities – including incorporation of AI (artificial intelligence) for electronic and mechanical hardware, to optimize quality inspection techniques and efficiencies
- Act as a facilitator and provide leadership support during internal and external Quality Audits (AS9100D, Customer, Government) as necessary
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in related field or comparable work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality-centric roles
- Prior experience in leadership roles is strongly preferred
- Proficient knowledge of First Article Inspection reports, compliant with AS9100D and other industry standards
- Proficient knowledge of Lean operations principles
- Proficient in corrective actions and problem-solving methodologies (CAPA) to drive continuous improvement in quality inspection process activities
- Strong knowledge and direct experience with AS9100D Quality Management System standards
