Akkodis is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 2 for a Contract job with a client in Carson, CA. The client is Ideally looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with strong mechanical/electrical maintenance expertise, who can improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, drive preventive maintenance programs, track KPIs, and support sustainability/low carbon initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
Rate Range: $33/hour to $35/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble and integrate electromechanical assemblies and subcomponents
- Perform functional testing and basic troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems
- Interpret and follow:
- Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Mechanical drawings and assembly instructions
- Work orders and technical documentation
- Conduct inspection, repair, and rework of components to meet quality standards
- Use diagnostic and test equipment, including:
- Multimeters
- Basic oscilloscopes
- Torque tools and measurement instruments
- Support failure analysis and issue resolution with guidance from senior technicians or engineers
- Maintain accurate documentation in ERP/MES systems
- Ensure compliance with:
- Quality standards (AS9100 / ISO)
- Safety requirements (OSHA)
- ESD handling procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process efficiency efforts
Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 2 Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (technical certification or Associate degree preferred)
2–5 years of experience in:
- Electromechanical assembly, testing, or repair
- Manufacturing, aerospace, or related technical environments
Ability to:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Perform hands-on mechanical assembly and basic electrical troubleshooting
Experience with:
- Wiring, connectors, harnesses, and mechanical components
- Standard hand tools and electronic test equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
Desired Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Related)
- Advanced Microsoft Office & ERP/software systems knowledge
- Strong communication, planning, teamwork & leadership skills
