Akkodi's is seeking an Application Engineer (Electrical) for a 6 Months contract position with a client located in 9025 Moya Boulevard Reno, NV 89506 (Onsite). Ideally looking for applicants with Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering & experience with AutoCAD.

Based in our Reno NV manufacturing facility reporting to the Engineer Manager you will produce all information required for producing custom application engineered products for customer orders and quotes. You will also provide technical support for daily jobs, switch racks, and projects.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Work with drafters, engineers, and supervisors to produce the required documentation for customer orders or quotes.
• Create drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of material.
• Send drawings for approval, release order package to production, produce NMRs.
• Check drawings and BOM produced by others.
• Ensure application designs meet applicable standards and codes.
• Work with the quotations group, sales group, and/or customers to choose the proper products to meet the customers? needs.
• Provide support to manufacturing regarding application engineering designs.
• Provide electrical support and guidance to Drafters and Designers.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Experience in Motor Control Design, Switchgear or Switch Racks.
• Hazardous location standards NEC/CEC/IEC/ATEX.
• Hands-on Electrical testing.
