JOB DESCRIPTION
Top 3 Required Skills
• Basic troubleshooting skills – servers, various cables/connectors, networking, and cooling systems • Basic Linux command-line experience
• Excellent communication skills with strong technical aptitude
Required Qualifications
• 0-2 years of experience working in a data center environment
• Hands-on experience with various cable types and connectors
• Understanding of basic safety and security protocols within a data center
Role Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot server issues and identify root causes
• Order, install, and replace server components; return defective parts to vendors
• Update and maintain server firmware
• Configure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers
• Support network administrators with server-related tasks, including:
• Replacing broken or damaged cables
• Re‑routing cables to different server or switch ports
• Replacing optics on server and switch ports
• Upgrading and installing server hardware components
• Rack, stack, cable, and temporarily deploy servers or switches for remote configuration
• Respond to network administrator requests for hands-on server and switch support
