CockroachDB Database Engineer

Akkodis is seeking CockroachDB Database Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Chandler, AZ - Hybrid (3 days on site in a Week). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry.

Pay Range: $85-$90/hour on W2 - All Inclusive; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

  The CockroachDB Database Engineer will be a hands-on Engineer responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing CockroachDB as an enterprise Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) on Linux platform

.Key Responsibilities

• :Develop and enforce engineering standards, reference architectures, and best practice
• sBuild automation frameworks using Ansible, shell scripting, and infrastructure-as-code principles to enable scalable, repeatable deployment
• sDesign and implement self-service provisioning capabilities for application team
• sEnsure high availability, performance tuning, monitoring, failover, and disaster recovery capabilitie
• sDefine and implement security, compliance, and governance controls aligned with enterprise policie
• sAct as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and escalation point for CockroachDB-related issue
• sContinuously improve platform reliability, efficiency, and developer experienc
