Akkodis is seeking an Associate Software Engineer for a client located in Durham, NC.
In this role, you’ll drive new business growth by identifying and engaging prospective customers, qualifying inbound leads, and scheduling product demos. As the first point of contact, you’ll uncover customer pain points and build meaningful relationships. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a hunter mindset and a passion for contributing to the success of a leading tech organisation.
Pay Range: $50/hr - $60/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Schedule - Mon - Fri (8 am -5 pm EST, Onsite)
Description
The Associate Software Engineer (ASE) will work as a member of the product test and transfer engineering (PTTE) team in the development of manufacturing test software applications for printed circuit boards (PCB’s), electro-mechanical sub-systems, and complete instruments for innovative health products.
The ASE will work with test, electrical, mechanical, product and software engineers to define software requirements and develop applications and documentation for development work and the manufacturing test processes.
The test systems and software will be applied to products in development as well as internal and external global manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities
Document software requirements and specifications.
Development and maintenance of C# .NET software tools and test scripts for PCBA, sub assembly, and system level functional tests and manufacturing tests.
Development and maintenance of database migration and other system synchronization tools for test systems.
Development of tools to create test reports and statistical reports based on test data.
Communicate complex technical situations in an understandable way.
Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
3-7 years demonstrated experience in software development.
Demonstrated experience with .NET C#, Microsoft Visual Studio IDE preferred.
Demonstrated experience controlling and retrieving data from data acquisition devices.
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving software-hardware issues.
Demonstrated experience in critical thinking and problem-solving skills, planning and organizing.
Excellent communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
Desired skills
Experience with other high-level languages (C, Python, etc.).
Experience with interacting with databases, PostgreSQL preferred.
Experience defining database table structures, tidy data concepts.
Experience developing test routines in NI LabView.
Experience with the following cloud technologies IoT Edge, IoT Hub, Azure or AWS.
Experience with EWON, AMQP or MQTT.
Experience with Power BI or other statistical reporting platforms.
Experience with source control and versioning software, Git HUB preferred.
Experience with project tracking software, Jira preferred.
Proficiency at reading schematics and understanding circuit functions.
