Employment Type: 7 month contract, possible extension

Location: Richardson, TX – hybrid schedule

W2 Pay Range: $60-75/hr

Summary:

Akkodis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated CCAI Voice Solutions Developer to join an exciting company. This will be a contract role in Richardson, TX working a hybrid schedule.

The Conversational AI Engineer will design, prototype, and deliver innovative customer engagement solutions using Google Cloud’s Contact Center AI (CCAI) suite. This role focuses on building advanced voice IVR and chat experiences, developing proofs-of-concept, and enabling production-ready architectures through strong engineering practices and cross-functional collaboration. This is an exciting opportunity to build NextGen voice AI solutions for an industry leader!!!

Responsibilities:

Conversational AI Design & Prototyping

• Design, build, and demonstrate conversational AI solutions for voice IVR and chat using Dialogflow CX, CCAI Platform, and Agent Assist.
• Develop conversational flows, intents, routing logic, and complete end-to-end customer journey experiences.
• Research and propose innovative prototypes that enhance customer experience and improve business operations.

Proof-of-Concept Delivery & Documentation

• Build and deliver proofs-of-concept (POCs) and present solutions to leadership and key stakeholders.
• Conduct knowledge transfer (KT) sessions to development and implementation teams.
• Create comprehensive documentation, including:
• Solution architecture
• Configuration and setup guides
• Runbooks and operational procedures
• Known issues and mitigation strategies

Google Cloud & CCAI Development

• Perform hands-on development across Google Cloud and CCAI tools, including:
• Dialogflow CX (including playbooks)
• CCAI Agent Assist
• CCAI Insights
• CCAI Platform
• Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Compute Engine
• Cloud Pub/Sub
• Google Cloud DLP
• Memorystore (Redis), Firestore
• BigQuery
• Terraform
• Develop services and integrations using Python and Java.

Integration & Backend Engineering

• Design and implement webhook services and backend integrations for virtual agents.
• Build API integrations and service-to-service communication patterns aligned with production-grade architectures.
• Implement event-driven and serverless architectures using Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
• Containerize services using Docker and apply Kubernetes concepts where applicable.

Telephony & Real-Time AI Integration

• Develop and maintain a Genesys Cloud AudioHook-to-GCP pipeline for real-time audio streaming.
• Enable live transcription and AI-driven insights leveraging speech-to-text and related GCP services.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support end-to-end delivery within the Genesys Cloud platform.

Performance Optimization & Monitoring

• Troubleshoot and optimize solution performance using Google Cloud Logging (Logs Explorer) and Cloud Monitoring.
• Reduce latency, improve system reliability, and enhance overall customer experience through data-driven analysis.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native development.
• Hands-on expertise with Dialogflow CX and conversational AI frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java for backend and integration development.
• Experience building API integrations, webhooks, and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with event-driven and serverless computing models.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and understanding of Kubernetes concepts.
• Working knowledge of contact center platforms, preferably Genesys Cloud.
• Google Professional Cloud Developer certification preferred.
• Customer Engagement Suite with Google AI – Technical Expert credential preferred.
